Create a Weebly Education Account

Task 1 - Getting Started

Create a Weebly Educator account at http://education.weebly.com/
  • Create your username and password (write this down!)
  • select a name for your website
  • pick a website URL (ex. mrhard.weebly.com)
(Note: A URL name should be kept short and easy to remember)

Edit the homepage of your weebly site
  • Explore and pick a theme
  • Add a text box and Write an introductory statement
  • Add a photo of yourself or reflective of your class

  • Make a subpage that further refines one of the pages you already have

Task 4 - Resources for the classroom

  • Add a link to an external educational website that you regularly ask students to use.
  • Add a link to a video resource you would like students to watch

Challenge:
  • Embed a video from Youtube, Schooltube, etc.

Task 5 - Upload a file

  • Add the upload a file widget
  • Find a file on the computer you are using to upload

Challenge:
  • Add a file you have saved on a flash drive or from a cloud storage like dropbox

Task 6 - Student Assignment Submission

  • Add a student assignment submission form
    • use edit form to delete the e-mail requirement

Challenge:
  • Edit the student assignment form to create a quick quiz or quick write exit ticket
